Miner Leap Stables is an up and coming boarding & training facility nestled on 11 acres in Watsontown, PA. We’re a smaller, quaint family-owned & operated farm focusing on correct fundamentals and fun in the saddle. We’re a hunter/jumper facility but we use a strong dressage base in our riding theory to make a well-rounded horse and rider. Thinking about getting your child involved with horseback riding?

Think no further – horseback riding is unique in the way that it is a team sport, but you’re working and communicating with an animal. Children learn a whole new set of communication skills, they learn the value of hard-work, and a strong sense of independence and responsibility. In addition, we try to group kids with similar abilities and ages into lessons so they form a strong sense of community at the barn, while making new friends.

Adult amateurs are also welcome and we encourage adults who have never ridden before as well. You’re never too old to love a horse, or learn a new skill. Come meet the horses of Miner Leap Stables today.

2024 PONY CAMP

JUNE 17 – 20 & AUGUST 5 – 8

Pony Camp is a great way to introduce kids to ponies and horses in a group setting. We cater to first time riders up to kids at competition levels. All are welcome for a great week of riding, learning, playing, crafting, and the beloved water activities! Kids will ride every day and occasionally twice a day. Riding includes regular learning, relay racing, bareback, and trail riding. We like to keep our camps small and safe so please call early to reserve your spot. Deposits of $100 are required, but will come off of the camp price.
